WRITERS’ THURSDAY SPECIAL
Writers' Thursday is the literary salon of the journalist and author Rainer Schmidt, where six authors read briefly from their books. The focus is on current works with a contemporary relevance. And as often as possible, on the exchange between music and literature. Musicians regularly read from their books or play live in the evenings.
The headquarters has been in Berlin since 2015 in the "1. OG" salon above the Borchardt restaurant. Since 2022, Writers' Thursday has also been in Hamburg (private: Clouds Hill Studios; public: Schauspielhaus/Harbour Front Literature Festival), since 2023 also in Frankfurt (Book Fair) - and on March 14, 2024 we were in Cologne for the first time with a special at lit.Cologne.
On September 26th this year there will be a public "Writers' Thursday Special" with readings, talks and live music for the first time in Berlin - in the beautiful Theater des Westens!
