ROBERT GLASPER - LIVE

The American jazz pianist, composer, and producer Robert Glasper stands as an absolute exceptional artist, who, through his political engagement, is heard far beyond the boundaries of the music world. The Grammy winner is returning to Germany for two exclusive shows in November.
Heart, passion, soul, an artistic repertoire unparalleled, and sometimes one of the most important voices for contemporary Afro culture – none other than Robert Glasper.
The Grammy record of the music sensation leaves no questions unanswered: eleven categories, twelve nominations, and five awards. An Emmy also finds its place among his ever-growing list of prizes and awards. But that's far from all, because Robert Glasper's artistic work touches all areas of the music world. Live shows, film compositions, as well as productions with and for other artists. It seems that whatever the native Texan does is crowned with success. His Black Radio albums have broken and redefined the boundaries of R&B. His collaborations with giants such as George Clinton, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Kaytranada, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Hiatus Kaiyote, Mac Miller, Flying Lotus regularly cause a stir within the music press. In addition to his award-winning music productions, captivating live shows, and his widely acclaimed film music, he uses his voice as a giant of the jazz scene and Afro culture to loudly advocate for the equality and equal opportunities of Afro minorities.
Like a common thread, his entire artistic work is permeated by one constant: evolution. The refusal to stand still. A constant striving for change, rethinking, creative growth. The rejection of genre boundaries can be understood as a central characteristic in Robert Glasper's breathtaking repertoire. His music resonates as a multi-layered, complex, yet incredibly approachable and accessible uniqueness, floating somewhere between jazz, R&B, soul, and hip-hop. This diversity is underscored by an unmistakable hope for an open, colorful society, whose beauty is rooted in diversity.
