GORAN BREGOVIĆ
Once one of the biggest rock stars in Eastern Europe, Goran Bregović has stood for sophisticated, complex contemporary music for the past 25 years. His sound is driven by rousing brass arrangements and remains highly melodic thanks to voices used like instruments. His new album God Is Not Your Babysitter will be released in April.
Whether on record or live, he is THE pioneer of Southeast European music, guiding audiences on a breathtaking journey across the Balkans and far beyond with his Wedding and Funeral Band.
Known as a film composer, especially for the classic films of Emir Kusturica, and highly sought after as a contemporary composer, Bregović performs not only at major festivals but also regularly in some of the world’s most renowned concert halls. He has sold out venues such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Kölner Philharmonie multiple times. Alongside his nine-piece Wedding & Funeral Band and larger formations with choir and string quartet, he also presents special projects with full orchestra.
He will perform live in Berlin on 14.09. at the Theater des Westens.
