Olof Dreijer (The Knife) announces debut solo live tour in North America and Europe in Fall 2026 following the release of his album, Loud Bloom, on dh2 album stream / tour tickets Hot on the heels of the release of his celebrated debut solo album Loud Bloom on May 8 via dh2 (Dirty Hit), Olof Dreijer—one half of legendary synth pop provocateurs The Knife—has announced his debut solo live show tour. This marks his first-ever tour as a solo artist, and his first time presenting a live show since The Knife's final tour in 2014. The autumn 2026 run brings his vibrant new material to intimate venues across North America and Europe.

Dreijer will bring Loud Bloom to life with a full live show that also incorporates older favourites and remixes. He explains: "I'm happy to share some live dates in the autumn with you. I've been experimenting and rehearsing and I'm almost done with a new live show focused around my album but also some older favourites and remixes. I've done my best to make a dancey set for us to have fun together :) Also I'm working with a light designer team that is putting together a very beautiful light show that I'm very excited about!"

Since returning with a rush of output in 2023, Dreijer has been sprinkling dancefloors with a string of releases that perfect the fine balance of angular originality and universal appeal. The sound is bright and immediate, wild around the edges but overflowing with heart and soul. Updating a sound he first teased in the late 00s as Oni Ayhun through drag performance and a handful of enduring, celestial dance tracks like the universally adored 'OAR003-B', this purposefully joyful wave of recent output came after years spent working on projects for others. Besides founding The Knife with his sibling Karin Dreijer, he had been producing for their solo project Fever Ray as well as Houeida Hedfi, Zhala and Planningtorock more recently. He also established a music school for refugees in Berlin before continuing to teach creative music production to immigrant youth in Sweden.

The striking arrival of Rosa Rugosa on Hessle Audio in 2023 heralded the dawn of a new era in his music-making, followed up by successive flourishes for Dekmantel and AD93 as well as remixes for Björk & Rosalía, Röyksopp & Robyn and more, paving the way towards Loud Bloom, coming on dh2, Dirty Hit's electronic sister label.

Praised by the likes of Guardian (5-star review), Pitchfork, The Quietus, Mixmag, the critically acclaimed LP pushes back against dance music disposability to reframe key cuts from those first releases as fully-realised songs to carry with you through life. They appear alongside new tracks and collaborations that round out his intentions as his solo career matures. The record features a consciously global cast of vocalists—Sudanese singer MaMan (based in Cairo) on the pop-tinted 'Echoed Dafnino', Colombian MC and percussionist Diva Cruz on the incendiary stomper 'Acuyuye', and South African MC Toya Delazy on the bumping misfit house joint 'Makwande', whose Zulu and English lyrics carry a powerful message of liberation. Across the album, Dreijer toys with the tension between pure pleasure music and his tireless thirst for the new, remoulding classic dance tropes into dazzling new forms while also exploring reflective, beatless synth patterns and microtonal electro-acoustic ambient.
